Personal preferences

Two sections under Account in Settings belong to you rather than to your organisation: My Profile and Preferences. Nothing here affects your colleagues.

AccountMy Profile, under Personal Information.

  1. Profile Photo — press Upload Photo and choose a JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP of up to 2 MB. A large picture is shrunk in your browser before it is sent, which also strips the location data a phone writes into a photo. Your new picture appears straight away while the upload finishes.
  2. Full Name — required. This is the name your colleagues see against everything you do, including in the audit log, so put your real one.
  3. Email Address — shown with a padlock, and not editable.
  4. Phone Number — optional.
  5. Press Save Changes. Unsaved changes sits beside the button while anything is pending, and a save confirms with Profile updated successfully.

Changing your password is on the same screen and is covered in Your account and security.

AccountPreferences opens with a Theme dropdown offering Light, Dark and System. It applies the instant you pick it and there is nothing to save.

Theme is stored by the browser, not on your account, so it is set per browser. Choosing dark on your laptop leaves your phone exactly as it was.

On the Language & Time card, Display currency offers Original currency (no conversion) or any supported presentment currency. It changes what payment amounts are shown converted to across your dashboards.

Leave it unset to inherit whatever your organisation has chosen as its default — see Organisation settings.

The same card carries three more settings, which are saved against your account when you press Save preferences:

  • Timezone — twelve options, from UTC to Sydney.
  • Date Format — DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Language — English, Spanish, French, Chinese or Japanese.

What reaches you by email, in the bell, and by browser push is set separately under AccountNotifications. See Notifications.
